Pediatric Physical Therapy

We are all about kids, from birth and up!  From tummy time challenges to children with chronic conditions/ medical diagnoses, we are happy to evaluate your child and empower you with a plan to help them!

Our specialty areas include:

  • Infants struggling with tension/body stiffness (often associated with restrictive tethered oral tissues- tongue ties, lip ties)

  • Infants with difficulty achieving gross motor milestones

  • Children with autism

  • Helping increase independence for older children with complex medical needs

"Does my child NEED a medical diagnosis?" No!  If you have concerns at all, contact us.

"Do I need a doctor's referral?" No- in CT, physical therapy is a direct access service- we are able to do an evaluation, and can submit information for your child's primary care provider to sign to help with insurance authorization, if needed.

We are in-network with most major insurances including:

  • Aetna

  • Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

  • Cigna

  • Harvard Pilgrim

  • United HealthCare

  • Husky/Medicaid

  • ConnectiCare

  • Tricare.

We also accept private pay/self pay.

Consultation

  • Families: we offer consultations if your child does not need ongoing physical therapy services.  We can consult to provide you with tips for ways to promote gross motor skills development.

  • Independent Educational Evaluations: We can provide an independent evaluation to help determine if your child requires school-based PT.

  • Advocacy: we can review your child's school IEP or 504 plan and/or attend school meetings with you if you need some guidance in advocating for your child's gross motor needs.
